I’ve been inspired by all the wonderful, skills-focused CPD around lately and decided it’s time for me, too, to throw my hat into the ring.

Today I am really excited to let you know about my new webinar series: The Hydrated Translator. As an expert tea-maker, I decided to share my insights with my colleagues so everyone can benefit from the hydrating effect of tea. After all, a hydrated translator is a happy translator, and a happy translator is a successful translator!

More details will follow shortly, but here are some initial details for the impatient. 😉

In three 45-minute webinars, I will share my extensive knowledge on how to brew the perfect tea for translators. I have extensive experience in brewing tea: after all, I have been doing it my entire life. And I am a translator, of course. I have also honed my expertise through regular practice and specialisation.

  • In the first webinar, we will look at the importance of tea in the life and daily work of a translator, and precisely why being a hydrated translator is so important. Then we put the first part of what we have learned into practice: under my guidance, we will put water in the kettle and turn it on.
  • In the second webinar, we will go into the real art of making tea: the brewing. We will look at how best to put the hot water in the teapot and let it brew for a while.
  • In the final webinar, we will pour out the tea, add the milk of whatever plant, tree, or creature we prefer, as desired, and enjoy!

I am really looking forward to this webinar and would appreciate it if you share these details on social media with the hashtag #xl8hydr8 to ensure as many translators as possible can join the hydrated translator movement!

Also starting today, 1st April, 2016, I will also be offering life coaching to translators with a particular focus on tea. You can benefit from my expertise in making tea through weekly telephone chats to talk about the tea you’ve been brewing and how you can improve your tea making. I will also grant all coaching clients access to the exclusive Translator’s Tea-Making Toolkit – a limited-access Facebook group full of light, happiness, fluff, woo, and tea.
